  • Ok, so here’s what happened. I got back from a family reunion where someone brought bags of oranges, grapefruits and AVOCADOS from their yard… Yes, my heart fluttered! When we left we of course took home a BAG full of the avocados. Avocado lovers, you know what kind of treasure that is! Taco salad night was made complete with an unending supply of ripe avocado to top it.   • Ok, here’s the deal. There are lots of vegan brownies that are absolutely delicious. I even have a Black Bean brownie on my site that I LOVE. But there is usually something missing from vegan brownies…the crinkle. I don’t know why, but that always bugs me! However as a vegan who cooks and bakes, I also know for some reason it can be challenging to get them to do that crinkle. Just go for flavor and quit chasing the crinkle. I’d tell myself.   • Whenever I had chicken and dumplings as a kid, the part I liked the most was the dumplings. And that holds true with my kids today as well.
